Johannesburg-based GSSA The Cargo Connection (TCC) – the South African member of the EGSAC network – has won the contract to represent Air Namibia throughout South Africa.
Air Namibia appointed TCC after a review of representation in South Africa. The airline operates daily from Cape Town to Windhoek, and 12 times weekly from Johannesburg to Windhoek, using 747-500 aircraft. In addition to traffic for Windhoek, TCC expects to generate transhipment cargo, particularly for Luanda which is served three times per week using B737 and A340 aircraft.
TCC, launched in 1993, now handles sales for six airlines. The EGSAC network now comprises 32 members with 127 bases in 33 countries, collectively working with 150 airlines.
