Expanded role for Nissan’s Mann

Trevor Mann, Nissan’s senior vice president supply chain management and chairman of Africa Middle East and India region, is taking over as executive vice president and chairman of the management committee for the Africa Middle East India and European region, as part of a series of senior management appointments at the motor manufacturer.

Mann took on the global supply chain role in March last year after running Nissan’s car plant in Sunderland.

“The changes announced today were planned as part of the senior management transitions in April,” said Carlos Ghosn, Nissan president and chief executive officer.

“Given the immediate and ongoing opportunities and challenges facing the global auto industry, we decided to accelerate the pace of change and strengthen the focus of our executive leadership team on the priority areas of our business.”

Colin Dodge, executive vice president and chief performance officer, will focus on his responsibility as CPO and chairman of the Management Committee Americas.

Takao Katagiri, executive vice president global sales will add direct responsibility for the Japan marketing and sales organisation.
