Jersey’s government takes IT to smooth supplier management

The government of Jersey has taken on software to enable more efficient purchasing and improved supplier management and also provide clearer visibility of the island’s public expenditure.

Up to 2,000 of the States of Jersey’s employees will use Wax Digital’s web3 Purchase-to-Pay system, across all ten of Jersey’s departments including Education, Health, Social Services and Home Affairs.

It is intended to improve management of its relationships with 10,000 suppliers, through better compliance with corporate contracts and speeding payments.

All suppliers will be encouraged to use web3 to make electronic orders and invoicing more efficient. As well as improving internal processes the introduction of web3 will help speed up payment times.

It will be integrated with the Jersey’s existing accounting software to facilitate the payment of over 3,500 invoices a week.
