Ceva Logistics has appointed Helmut Kaspers as its chief operating office for global air and ocean freight, effective immediately.
Kaspers, who replaces Michael Schaecher in the role, has previous experience in the sector having held positions at Logwin Air and Ocean, Kuehne + Nagel and DB Schenker. Most recently Kaspers was the managing owner of Kaspers Consulting + Investment, a firm he launched in 2013.
CEO Xavier Urbain said: “Kaspers’ extensive experience in air and ocean freight will be a tremendous asset to our customers. Helmut is a change agent with a deep commitment to building and supporting organisations, creating lasting value.”
In addition to his operational responsibilities, Kaspers will join Ceva’s executive board.
