CEVA expands Mercedes-Benz services in Brazil

CEVA Logistics is renewing and expanding its services for Mercedes-Benz in Brazil.

CEVA expands in Brazil with Mercedes-BenzUnder the new contract, CEVA will continue to run in-house logistics services at the car manufacturers’ plant in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. The service includes materials handling, line feeding and external warehousing.

Two new agreements are outlined in the new contract; extending elements of the agreement for three and five years respectively. The logistics company will now provide interplant transportation services at the Juiz de Fora plant, and packaging services in the Mercedes’ spare parts DC in Campinas, São Paulo.

The new contract will employ an additional team of 280 people.

“Mercedes-Benz is a market leader in the truck and bus segment in Brazil,” said Fábio Mendunekas, CEVA’s vice president for business development in South America. “For CEVA it is a great honour to continue and expand the partnership with such a strategic customer.
