Steve Larson has joined Neovia as interim chief executive officer to lead the company’s transition to the next phase of its development as well as helping to identify his long term successor.
Neovia said Jos Opdeweegh, the former chief executive officer, had decided to leave the company. He joined Neovia in August 2012 to undertake the carve-out from Caterpillar, which is now complete.
Larson led Caterpillar Logistics as its chairman and president for five years prior to the formation of Neovia. He also served on the company’s board of directors until his retirement in 2014.
“Steve is uniquely qualified to lead Neovia,” said Ferdinando Beccalli-Falco, Neovia’s lead director. “Not only is he a highly competent supply chain professional, Steve is intimately familiar with Neovia. He has had effective, trusting relationships with many of our valued customers, partners and employees, and has the full support of the board of directors.”
Larson said: “This is an exciting time for Neovia. We have a tremendous foundation on which to build and a great track record of delivering outstanding customer service.”
