Ferenc Lajkó has been confirmed a chief executive officer of Waberer’s International following the decision to convert from public to private limited company.
Private equity investment fund Mid Europa Partners recently increased its shareholding in the company to 97.1 per cent of the total share capital.
Miklós Bethlen, partner and head of the Budapest office of Mid Europa Partners, has taken over as Waberer’s chairman. The two new members of the board are Dr Péter Lakatos, partner of Lakatos, Köves and Partners, and Gerard van Kesteren, former CFO of Kuehne + Nagel.
Lajkó was previously deputy CEO. He gained leadership experience at Hungarocamion. Following the acquisition by Waberer’s, he served in senior positions as managing director, head of the international division and as deputy CEO.
Barna Erdélyi, CFO of Waberer’s since 2014, has been promoted to the position of general deputy CEO of the company.
